Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by. I hope you are having a great day.
Today I have a sweet card to welcome a new baby.
The arrival of a new baby is a wonderful albeit scary occasion for the parents to be. There is so much to prepare and make ready, all the while juggling work, any other children, doctor appointments and a home.
Some parents know exactly what they are having and some want to keep it as a surprise either for the people around them or for themselves as well. I could never do that, I wanted to know immediately what I was having. But not everyone feels the same.

All of these cards were created exactly the same way, just using different colours.
To begin, I stamped the sheep on heavy weight cardstock, I used Copics to colour his face, legs and tail. For the wool, I used a liquid glue and added flocking powder in pink, blue and white depending on which card the sheep was to go on. Once that was completely dry I fussy cut them out.
I choose coordinating colours for the background, using the cloud board to sponge in soft colours starting at the bottom and working my way up the panel. I used the same ink for the greeting, but stamped it twice using the MISTI to make it darker.
I added enamel dots for interest and balance to the card and matted the card panel with a matching pastel cardstock.
There is no perfect sentiment for a card like this, everyone has their own message so I left the inside blank.
I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something of your own.
I love these!!! They are so cute! A great way to build up your stockpile! I always say I will make two cards at a time but I either do just one, or like six! :)
