Happy Birthday "Tutu" You | And a Lesson in Gravity

Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by. I hope you are having a great day.

I made this card for my niece's fourth birthday. Not only is she cute as a button, she was also in dance this year so it was just perfect.

To create today's card, I began by stamping the image of the little girl onto Copic friendly paper and colouring her in with Copics. I used clear wink of stella on her tutu to make it shine. I then fussy cut her out and popped her up on foam tape and set her aside.

(A little side note about my wink of stella. I love this pen, I use it all the time. Like any type of water pen, sometimes the flow isn't awesome, so just give it a little squeeze. *LITTLE SQUEEZE*, I was distracted and not paying attention to how gravity works, I was looking at the top of the barrel while squeezing, all the while wondering why there was nothing moving out of the chamber. Gravity is this funny thing that will screw with you when you least expect it. When I moved the pen to see what was going on, I had huge drips everywhere. Not on my project, but I was still upset, because I didn't want to waste my wink of stella.)

I used two different stamp sets for the greeting, and used silver embossing powder on a strip of light coordinating cardstock. I used the same colour of the matting panel.

The background panel, is a piece of wonderful pattern paper that I had hidden in my stash. To finish off this card, I used a few enamel dots just to add interest, and because they are pretty.

I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something of you own.
