PRRROUD of You | ft. Lawn Fawn's "Slide on Over" Die and SSS "You are Pawesome" Stamps
Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by. I hope you're having a great day.
Today I have another interactive card for you, featuring Lawn Fawn Dies - Slide on Over, Spring Showers, and Grassy Border - and Simon Says Stamp - You are Pawesome stamp set.
I made this card for my oldest daughter who just finished grade 5. I can't even believe how fast time has gone. She is turning into such a lovely young lady and I'm so proud of her.
To begin, I used the long straight slider to die cut the slide from a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock. I also cut two edges with the Grassy Border die. I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress ink for the grassy areas, and Tumbled Glass for the sky.
The sun is cut from Lawn Fawn's Spring Showers die set and shaded using Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed Distress Ink.
I stamped the kitty and the yarn using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Copic-friendly 110lb cardstock, coloured them in and fussy cut them out.
Like everyone says, and you'll try it too, if you haven't all ready - the secret is to double up the foam tape. Everything slides better with two. Instead of making a penny slider (I was worried about the kitty getting caught in the grass) I used a pull tab. When you pull the tab the kitty runs across the lawn chasing his ball of yarn. Too cute!
The greeting is pieced together using a few different CTMH sets, the "PRRROUD" is put together using the Etched Alphabet stamp set, and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. This is typically my go-to stamp set for putting together a greeting or sentiment.
I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something of your own. Don't forget to follow me over on the right sidebar so you don't miss any future posts. Toss me a line in the comments section below and let me know what you think.
